God Wants You Whole
Devotional Reading: Dear friend, I hope all is well with you and that you are as healthy in body as you are strong in spirit. 3 John 1:2 NLT
God’s desire is for His children to enjoy good health. Although our world is filled with numerous challenges and illnesses, as believers, we need to understand how we can thrive amidst these circumstances.
It is important to recognize that God’s will, as mentioned earlier, is for everyone to be in good health. This is evident in the ministry of Jesus during His time on Earth. In Matthew 4:23-24, we read that Jesus traveled throughout Galilee, teaching in synagogues, preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all kinds of sickness and disease among the people. His reputation spread to Syria, and people brought to Him those who were sick with various ailments, torments, possession by demons, lunacy, and paralysis, and He healed them.
The book of Acts also summarizes Jesus’ ministry in Acts 10:38, stating that God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and power, and He went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil because God was with Him.
With these clear verses in mind, we must hold fast to what God says and continually confess what His Word says about good health. Even when doctors may deliver a critical diagnosis, we can confront those words with the truth of God’s Word. We declare, “It is the will of God that I am healed. By His stripes, I am healed” (1 Peter 2:24). When a persistent headache troubles us, we can continue to speak the Word and say, “He sent His Word and healed me” (Psalm 107:20). We remember that He is the God who heals us (Exodus 15:26).
Always keep in mind that GOD WANTS YOU HEALED.
Prayer and Confession
Declare now over your body the healing of God if you have a sickness or disease. If you don’t, you can intercede for someone who does.
