Faith-Life; Be Wise

Devotional Reading: “The fruit of the [uncompromisingly] righteous is a tree of life, and he who is wise captures human lives [for God, as a fisher of men—he gathers and receives them for eternity].”- Pro. 11:30 AMP

Everyone who is saved today must have at a point heard the gospel of Christ, for it is the only power of God unto salvation. No one can be saved unless and until he hears the gospel and the lost would not hear it unless a preacher is sent to preach.

Let me at this juncture ask you a question you might consider to be an insult, which I believe with all humility that it isn’t; “Are you a fool?” Before you answer the question, let’s consider who a wise person is in the context of today’s devotion. A wise person is one who win souls.

There are gifts and special callings of God on every believers which varies from persons to persons. Also, there are gifts of men for the perfecting of the saints and the edification of the body of Christ. But, when it comes to preaching Christ to humanity so they could be converted and be saved, it is an assignment given to all believers; age, gender, profession and eloquence regardless.

When last have you gone out on personal evangelism? When last have you won a soul into God’s Kingdom? Living a godly life alone is not potent to save the dying, the gospel must be proclaimed. As you go about your daily business, see to it that you proclaim Christ and until then, you are still in the fools’ zone.

Prayer and Confession
Christ is made unto me wisdom, I therefore proclaim His redemptive power to the dying world. Hence, I am wise and not a fool.
