Love All
James 2:1 (NLT)
My dear brothers and sisters, how can you claim to have faith in our glorious Lord Jesus Christ if you favor some people over others?
Christianity is really life and not a mere religion. One aspect of our lives as believers that needs caution is in our relationship with others. By default, as humans, it’s so easy for us to love those who loves us, appreciate those whom we derive pleasant opportunities from.
However, we are reminded this morning that as Christians, we live by different sets of rules. One of such rules is, do not have the faith of our Lord Jesus Christ with respects of persons. Even God, he is kind both to the unthankful and to the evil as well as he is to the good ones. Luke 6:35.
Therefore, put on your Father’s nature by loving the ones that are unliveable. This may seem not appealing to us as we are rational individuals. However, this is the Christian walk, this is what our heavenly Father would do – to love every one just has He does.
CONFESSION
The love of God gains expression in me.
I do not show favoritism
I receive grace to love even the unlovable.
