Debt Canceled

Psalm 103:12
As far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us.

Many times we find ourselves in debt, wether small or great debt. And at some point it becomes a thorn in the flesh such that we we might lose sleep over it – we also lose peace of mind till we get it settled. But, imagine that the one you are in debted to waved or cleared out your debt and tells you never to worry, surely to you it will be a great joy. 

The background text reveals to us the extent at which God has chosen to cancel and forgive the unsurmountable debt of our sins – He chose not to count our sins against us once we are in Christ. The blood of Jesus made it possible, he satisfied the claims of judgement for us. The Psalmist says, He is abounding in love. So once forgiven, we aren’t defined by or limited by our debt any longer, it has been cancelled.

Therefore In response to the Lord’s extravagant gift, we can acknowledge all He’s done. And with great Joy and God’s righteousness clothed on us in Christ, we can offer a devoted and fearless worship on to God.

Thank you Jesus for the supernatural debt cancellation. Thank you for your blood that washes off my sins forever. Amen!
