Understand and Obey

Devotional Reading: Don’t live carelessly, unthinkingly. Make sure you understand what the Master wants. Ephesians 5:17 MSG
God is the same yesterday, today, and forever, and He delights in obedience. He takes glory in doing things His way, which no one can question since He is the God and Lord of all. As such, it is your obligation to find out and follow God’s plan for your life. He has a specific set of instructions for how He wants you to live your life, and you do not have the power to dictate to Him.
God is meticulous about how you live your life and carry out His plans. He is interested in both the results and the process of achieving those results. He celebrates, honors, and rewards obedience to His way of doing things. God rewards faithfulness, and your faithfulness is demonstrated in how much you stay committed to the instructions God gave you.
However, sometimes you may get results without following God’s instructions or staying faithful to Him, as Moses did. Nevertheless, God frowned upon his actions, and the end does not justify the means with God. Your life will never bring the utmost glory to God if you despise His ways, and you will never be rewarded for any deed done outside of God’s method, no matter how wonderful it may seem in the eyes of men.
In conclusion, your life is your decision to make, and God expects you to live it according to His ways. God is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him and obey His instructions. Therefore, seek Him with all your heart, follow His instructions, and live in faithfulness, and you will experience the fullness of His blessings in your life.
Prayer and Confession
I will seek the Lord with all my heart, follow his instructions and live in faithfulness to him at all times.
