Discern The Moment, Don’t Miss It
Devotional Reading: “Jesus said to him, ‘Rise, take up your bed and walk.’ And immediately the man was made well…” – John 5:8–9a (NKJV)
There are moments in life that feel different, more charged, more meaningful. That’s not random. Those are often divine moments—kairos moments—where heaven aligns with earth and God is opening a specific door. The Holy Ghost gives us discernment to know when to move, speak, or stay still in such times.
Look at the story of the lame man at the Pool of Bethesda in John 5. Jesus walked in and asked him a simple question: “Do you want to be made well?” That moment was loaded with power. The man could’ve responded with excuses, but instead, he responded with honesty and faith. That one moment changed his entire life.
Sometimes, your miracle is about recognizing that this is your moment. God might use a sermon, a conversation, a job interview, or even a challenge to push you into destiny. But if you’re dull spiritually, you might treat a divine moment casually and walk away unchanged.
The Holy Ghost sharpens our discernment. He alerts us when something significant is about to happen or when a window of opportunity is about to open. This is why we must live prayerfully and remain spiritually awake. You can’t be spiritually asleep and expect to catch divine timing.
Pray today for sensitivity and discernment. Ask God to help you recognize and respond correctly when a pivotal moment comes. It could be a divine encounter, a major decision, or a life-altering connection. Don’t miss your moment.
Prayer and Confession
Father, open my eyes to see divine moments when they come. Help me to discern when You are creating a window for breakthrough. I refuse to be spiritually dull or indifferent. Let me recognize the opportunities You place before me and respond rightly.
