Preserved for A Course

Devotional Reading: “And when she had opened it, she saw the child: and, behold, the babe wept. And she had compassion on him, and said, this is one of the Hebrews’ children.” Exodus 2:6KJV
One of the bible stories that interest me in the scriptures is that of baby Moses recorded in chapter 2 of the book of Exodus. His both parents were Levites and this we could say, they were both equally joined, as they both live and are guided by same set of rules. That in itself is enough reason for the preservation of the child even in a time that male children died in their thousands.
At delivery, Moses was preserved and kept for three good months in secret and protected from the agents of death put in place by Pharaoh. All of that possibly could be seen as luck or chance by those who knew little or nothing about the grace and mercy of God. However, it will take intentionality in denying God’s grace if anyone sees his (Moses) preservation by the daughter of the one who made a decree to kill all male child a game of luck.
Here is the message. Reflect back on situations that had happened to you just like it did to everyone but they never made it alive like you did. Many died at birth, many could not make it pass the first three months of their existence. The previous years, even this ongoing one, the not so good occurrences we now joke about claimed lives.
Have you asked, “why not me?” But here you are, amidst all chaos, still standing strong. Situations that claimed others’ lives serves as a stepping stone for your uplifting. Do you not see God at work in your life? Just as a form of reminder, be assured that God has a plan with you in mind, for you to be fruitful and liberate many from slavery; the power of darkness through you.
This you should know and never forget, regardless of what you are going through at the moment, God will preserve you and make all things work out for your good to the glory of His name. Trust him enough and live a life of praise.
Prayer and Confession
God has a plan with me in mind. I am fruitful and I am a channel of liberation to many held down by the power of darkness. For this cause I live.
