God Still Speaks －Are You Listening?

Devotional Reading: “Then the Spirit said to Philip, ‘Go near and overtake this chariot.’” – Acts 8:29 (NKJV)

Have you ever had a strong urge to do something simple—like call someone, check a particular message, or go a certain direction—and it turned out to be divine? That’s not coincidence; many times, it’s the Holy Ghost nudging us. As believers, we must know that God doesn’t just speak through thunder or angels; often, He speaks in a still small voice through the Holy Spirit inside us. Recognizing these promptings can make the difference between delay and destiny.

In Acts 8:29, the Holy Spirit told Philip, “Go over and walk along beside the carriage.” That small instruction led to the Ethiopian eunuch hearing the gospel and getting baptized. If Philip had ignored that gentle nudge, he might have missed a divine setup. God still arranges such pivotal moments today, but we need to be spiritually alert.

Our challenge is not that the Holy Ghost isn’t speaking—it’s that we’re often too distracted to notice. We let noise, routine, fear, or even our reasoning override those inner nudges. The more we ignore them, the quieter they become. But the more we respond in faith—even when it seems small or inconvenient—the more clearly we begin to hear Him.

This is not about being super-spiritual; it’s about staying sensitive. Start by paying attention to your peace. The Holy Ghost often confirms His leading with a deep, quiet peace or an unshakable sense of urgency. Don’t brush it off. That leading could be the key that unlocks a major breakthrough you’ve been praying for.

Take time today to slow down. Ask the Holy Spirit to open your ears and eyes to divine instructions. Journal moments that feel like nudges. Learn to test them with God’s Word and trust. You’ll be amazed at how often God is trying to lead you right into your miracle.

Prayers and Confession
I hear the voice of the Holy Spirit clearly. I am not distracted or confused. My spirit is sensitive, and my heart is obedient. I recognize divine instructions and I respond with faith. Every step I take is guided by God’s Spirit.
