How to Maximize Seasons of Fruitfulness Without Pride

Devotional Reading: “But remember the Lord your God, for it is he who gives you the ability to produce wealth…” Deuteronomy 8:18

There’s something exciting about fruitful seasons, when your plans work, your prayers get answered faster than you can say “Amen,” and favor seems to follow you everywhere. But here’s where many believers miss it: fruitfulness is not the time to flex, it’s the time to steward. Yes, rejoice. Yes, testify. But also remember—it’s God who brings the increase (1 Corinthians 3:6-7).

Sometimes in our season of abundance, we start acting like we grew the fruits by our wisdom, not God’s mercy. Ever seen a tree shouting about how juicy its fruits are? Exactly. Even in nature, fruitfulness is silent, humble, and generous. David, when established as king, didn’t brag about how “he made it from the bush to the palace.” He sought God’s face for every battle and remained dependent (2 Samuel 5:19).

Fruitfulness is not just about enjoying blessings; it’s about serving others with them. If God has blessed you financially, spiritually, emotionally,…then be a channel, not a dam. Share your testimony, help others, disciple someone, or fund a kingdom cause. Joseph didn’t use his influence in Egypt for selfish gain; he became a solution to famine. That’s what fruitful seasons are for—not just selfies and hashtags, but kingdom impact.

Also, stay grounded. Don’t let promotion give you spiritual amnesia. Nebuchadnezzar found out the hard way when pride turned his palace into a petting zoo (Daniel 4:30-33). So, even when you’re flying high, remember who gave you the wings. Fruit can rot if it’s not preserved with gratitude and humility.

If you’re in a fruitful season right now, thank God, enjoy the grace, but keep your heart soft, your eyes fixed on Him, and your hands open. God didn’t bless you just for you, He blessed you so that through you, others can taste His goodness.

Lord, thank You for every blessing in my life. Teach me to use it for Your glory and not my ego. Keep me grounded, and help me be a blessing to others in this season.
