Meditate on the Truth
Philippians 4:8
Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.
To some, authenticity is value that is cherished. Hence, they often find it difficult to muster up thoughts or statements when it does not simply line up with their feelings. They are going to repeatedly say “they are sick” till it looks like it.
Paul however reminds us to fix our thoughts on that which is true. Many of us proclaim so much untruths in our mind instead of that which is true. When we fix our thoughts on what might possibly happen, or worst that could come, we are meditating on the untruths. Example when you worry about the pain in your stomach is an ulcer, you are dwelling on the untruths instead of the truth that says you were healed by the stripes of Christ (1Pet. 2:24).
It is important that we fix our thoughts on the word of God for only therein we find that which is truth. Our faith only works best when it believes that, that which God said concerning us is true.
CONFESSION

I am what the Word says I am
