Take a Leap of Faith
John 2:5
His mother saith unto the servants, Whatsoever he saith unto you, do it.
A story was told of a man who fell over a cliff. On his way down, he managed to grab hold of a small tree sprouting out of the side of the wall. Desperately he began to call out for help and a voice answered, “what do you want?” “I’m stuck down here holding on to a tree,” he replied. “I can’t hold on too much longer can you help me?” Yes! Came the reply. The man asked “who are you?” I’m God,” replied the voice. Then the man asked what he should do. God said “Let go of the tree.” For a while after God spoke there was silence…
Many times we find ourselves in desperate situations and all the options we ever had is to trust God and take a leap of faith. But yet we still doubt Him.
It is important that we know that faith believes the impossible. The mother of Jesus told the servants at the wedding at Cana to do whatever Jesus asked them to do. The result was impossible to the human mind – the water turned to wine.
Faith really isn’t reasonable, it doesn’t make sense to the natural mind. Faith is always the ability to trust and believe God and obey Him even if the situation we are in does not look like what He instructs us to do.
So I encourage you to take that leap of faith and do what God has asked you to do.
CONFESSION
I believe God even if the situation seems other wise
I am always full of faith.
Amen
