You Have a Choice

Hebrews 13:15 TPT

So we no longer offer up a steady stream of blood sacrifices, but through Jesus, we will offer up to God a steady stream of praise sacrifices—these are “the lambs” we offer from our lips that celebrate his name!

There are days in everyone’s life when it seems hard to praise and thank God. Hebrews 13:15 admonishes us: “…let us continually offer the sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of our lips, giving thanks to His name. Some days it really is a sacrifice — days when you’re struggling or feeling down.

Maybe you’re feeling tired or hopeless – maybe it seems like God has let you down or just doesn’t seem care about your troubles. Maybe something terrible has happened, and you’re reeling from the pain of it.

But here’s what I learned during this period. Every day, you and I have a choice to thank God. No matter how dark it looks, there is always something to thank Him for. And once you start, something happens in your heart and you start to realize that no matter what you face, God is working.

Praise releases the supernatural power of God. When you praise Him, you start to have hope, and then faith, that you’re going to come out on top.

CONFESSION

I choose to thank God in the midst of my trouble
God is working on my behalf.
Hallelujah
