Winning Without Fighting

Devotional Reading: “So David prevailed over the Philistine with a sling and with a stone, and smote the Philistine, and slew him; but there was no sword in the hand of David.” 1 Samuel 17:50

Life challenges happen to all, whether or not a believer. However, only those who know the Lord and trust in His ability will do exploit and experience the victory already made available in Jesus Christ. In overcoming life challenges, many device ways in the wisdom of man, but till tomorrow, it ends in disappointment.

David prevailed over the Philistine even without a sword on him. The entire chapter revealed many spiritual lessons to us. But today, the spirit of the Lord is bringing to our notice, the power in David’s confession. In verse 4, both the Israelites and Philistine regarded Goliath as a champion, but as for David, he never for once accorded him such name. He called him “this uncircumcised Philistine”. When Saul reminded David of how long Goliath has been in the military, he wasn’t moved but held on to his confidence in the God of Israel.

Not minding what life throws at you, never you say things contrary to God’s word for you. God said those things concerning you, so that you may boldly declare them, knowing that His word are Yeah and Amen. Remember, that which you cannot boldly declare, it is an indication that you never believed it at first.

Beginning from now, know, hold on to and confess God’s word, not minding what seems to be happening around you. This in itself is a sure way to experiencing victory.

God will never leave me nor forsake me. In Him I have all that pertains to life and godliness. Hallelujah
