One Body

Devotional Reading: “You are Christ’s body- that’s who you are! You must never forget this. Only as you accept your part of that body does your part mean anything. I Corinthians 12:27”TMSG
Every believer, from the very moment you identify with Jesus and the cross has been given a responsibility as a part in the body of Christ. You are either the neck, hand leg, chest or whatever part of the body. It means that you’re a part of the work force in the vineyard/kingdom.
When people go in search of jobs, after a successful interview with a job in view, a reasonable prospective employee would ask what their job description is that is if they haven’t been told yet. This is to guide the employee on his roles and duties to the company/organization.
Nobody is useless or without a responsibility in the body of Christ. We all have a part that we must play in the advancement of the kingdom. Be a consistent and reliable team player.
Although, many, even after discovering their parts and responsibility in the body of Christ do not understand that their parts alone cannot bring progress to the body if not combines with the working parts of the others. If the sanctuary cleaners will not support the other departments by cleaning the church before the commencement of church service. Service might be delayed because they all will have to do the cleaning together or worship in a dirty environment.
Everyone’s assignment in the church or the body is highly significant and cannot be marginalized. Do not for once think that your part is better or less significant. See to it that you belong to the community of people in the church who wouldn’t stand by and let kingdom business suffer loss. Be a reliable and responsible team player in the body of Christ.
Prayer and confession
I am not a burden to the household of faith. Rather, I’m a reliable and competent team player. I live for the kingdom! I work tirelessly contributing my own quota to the advancement of the kingdom. Amen.
