Prayer Promise 2

Devotional Reading: “Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know.” (Jeremiah 33:3 NKJ)

Not only does God hear us, we are also sure that He answers us when we call.

There are many people who listen but are lacking in the ability to deliver or grant answers. But the promise of prayer is that God not only listens, He also answers. So, He issues the invitation, we are to call unto Him. God wants us to pray. He wants us to ‘bother’ Him with our burdens. He invites us to dial Him in prayer.

And then we have this promise, He will answer. God exemplified this on Mount Carmel. The prophets of Baal know how it feels to have a god who cannot answer, because Baal did not show up when they needed him. But for Elijah, God showed up in a way that defied logic. God loves to answer when we call.

Not only does He want to answer us, He wants to show us great and mighty things, which we do not know. Another promise of prayer is that it always transcends the natural, Prayer makes supernatural ability available because of God’s commitment to it.

Beloved, prayer has endless promises and possibilities when men pray. Remember that God keeps His word, but you must also take responsibility. You should pray now.

Prayer and Confession
Father, thank You for the promise that prayer holds for me, please help me to continue earnestly and fervently in prayer. Amen
