Forget Not His Benefits… The Healing Power of God
Devotional Reading: Psalm 103:2-3 KJV
Bless the LORD, O my soul, And forget not all his benefits…Who healeth all thy diseases.
In 103rd Psalm, David also declares that God “heals all your diseases.” While physical healing is one aspect, God’s healing extends to our emotional and spiritual wounds as well. He cares about every broken part of us, from our bodies to our hearts and minds. God’s healing may come in various ways—through miraculous recovery, through doctors and medicine, or through the inner peace that only He can bring.
Consider a time when God brought healing to an area of your life. Perhaps it was physical, like recovery from an illness, or maybe He healed a wound in your heart, like fear or loneliness. These experiences of healing remind us of God’s intimate care and compassion. Even if He doesn’t always heal in the way we expect, His presence provides comfort and strength, bringing hope to any situation.
Today, spend time thanking God for the ways He has healed you. You might even reach out to someone who needs healing, offering them encouragement and prayer. Let them know you’re trusting God with them, standing in faith for His healing touch. By sharing our stories of His healing, we remind ourselves and others of His power and compassion.
Prayer and Confession
Lord, I bless You as my healer. I thank You for caring about every part of me—body, mind, and spirit. I believe in Your power to heal and restore, and I trust You to bring healing in Your way.
