See The Invisible, Believe The Impossible

Devotional Reading: “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” Hebrews 11:1 (KJV)

Faith requires us to see beyond what is visible to the natural eye. When God told Abraham to look, there were no visible cities, farms, or descendants in the land, but Abraham believed God’s word. Seeing with faith allows us to hold onto God’s promises even when our reality contradicts them.

You may have heard the story of Thomas Edison, who invented the light bulb. Despite repeated failures, he had a vision of a world lit by electricity. Each setback only fueled his determination because he could “see” the outcome before it existed. In the same way, faith invites us to persist when the road gets tough, trusting that what God has promised will come to pass.

In your own walk, are there areas where you’ve struggled to hold onto faith? Maybe it’s a delayed breakthrough, a strained relationship, or a dream that feels unattainable. Like Edison, you must learn to “see” the outcome by faith and take daily steps toward it. God’s timing is perfect, and His promises never fail.

Today, challenge yourself to write down one promise from God’s Word and visualize it as though it has already happened. Speak it over your life and take steps, no matter how small, toward that promise. Faith sees the invisible and believes the impossible.

Prayer and Confession
I declare that I see the invisible and believe the impossible. By faith, I hold onto God’s promises and trust Him to bring them to pass in His perfect timing. Amen!
