God Brings Answers First By Revelation or Light 1

Devotional Reading: “Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.” – Psalm 119:105

You’ve probably heard someone say, “God is not speaking to me!” But here’s the twist, He probably already did, just not the way you expected. God doesn’t always show up with thunderclaps and signs. He shows up with light, a small, quiet revelation that lights up your understanding. Psalm 119:130 says, “The entrance of Your words gives light; it gives understanding to the simple.” Light here means insight, revelation, clarity. God doesn’t always give the full blueprint upfront; He gives light, a nudge, a scripture, a conviction, a dream, enough to get you started.

Think about Moses. God didn’t give him a printed-out itinerary for the Exodus journey. Instead, He gave him a burning bush and a conversation that sparked clarity (Exodus 3). That was the beginning of deliverance for millions. If Moses had dismissed that bush like, “A bush on fire? Abeg, I’m not in the mood,” he would have missed destiny. Sometimes God’s revelation doesn’t come with fanfare, but if you look closely, it’s the spark that changes everything.

You’ve probably been there. You’re worried sick about a problem, then during a quiet time or random scroll through YouTube sermons, a sentence hits you. It’s like someone turned on a lightbulb in your mind. That’s revelation. God just gave you direction. But we often ignore it because we’re waiting for a booming voice from heaven, or maybe something dramatic like Balaam’s donkey talking (Numbers 22).

Revelation is the divine flashlight. It’s not always meant to show you the full journey, but it helps you take the next step confidently. Recognize that revelation is an answer in seed form. You don’t sit and admire the seed, you plant it. Act on it. Ponder it. Write it down. Pray over it. Let it grow. Steward it with action and faith. Next time God gives you light, don’t ask for a megaphone. Just move. Because that small light might be the first chapter of your biggest breakthrough.

Prayer and Confession
I walk in the light of God’s word. I recognize divine revelation as a real answer. I am not confused, because God gives me clarity. I steward every light He gives me with faith and obedience. My path grows brighter every day, in Jesus name. Amen!
