No Dignity Selective Mode

Honor everyone. Love the family of believers. Have respectful fear of God. Honor the emperor.

Dignity doesn’t come with a filter button like Instagram. You don’t get to swipe left on people who look rough or dress funny. It’s not “Treat rich people with dignity and ignore the guy who smells like yesterday’s fish.” Everyone means everyone. Yes, even that colleague whose breath is awful.

God didn’t call us to be spiritual snobs. Jesus wasn’t selective with His dignity. He dined with tax collectors, spoke to prostitutes, and didn’t require anyone to “upgrade their wardrobe” before loving them. If Jesus could hug a leper, you can shake hands with that guy in slippers.

Sometimes, we’re guilty of “dignity discrimination.” We act nice to people with titles but dismiss the cleaner like he’s part of the mop. But the truth is, God often hides His greatest treasures in the most unexpected people (Ask Naaman). Don’t miss your miracle because you were looking down your nose.

True maturity is shown when you treat someone with zero influence the same way you’d treat someone with plenty of it. That’s when you begin to look like Jesus, when your heart isn’t impressed by status, but by souls.

Prayer and Confession
Lord, forgive me for being selective with dignity. Help me see people the way You do; worthy, valuable, and loved. Amen!
