Speaking Back When the Devil Speaks
Devotional Reading: “And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony.” Revelation 12:11 KJV
One mistake many believers make is thinking that silence equals maturity. In spiritual warfare, silence can sometimes be surrender. The devil is very vocal; he throws suggestions, fears, doubts, and negative imaginations consistently. If you keep quiet while he is talking, he assumes you agree. God never expected you to just endure lies quietly. He expects you to answer them with truth.
Jesus showed us this clearly in the wilderness. Every time the devil spoke, Jesus replied with Scripture. He did not argue emotions; He declared truth. Your mouth is not just for prayer requests; it is a weapon. What you say in the face of pressure matters more than what you say in church. Many believers are losing battles not because they lack faith, but because they lack response. Faith that is not voiced is easily overridden by fear.
When the devil says you are failing, speak what God has said about you. When circumstances say you are behind, declare that God makes all things beautiful in His time. You do not need to shout at demons, but you must consistently align your words with God’s promise. In this battle, your confession is not noise; it is strategy.
Prayer and Confession
Father, I declare that my mouth agrees with Your word. I speak life, truth, and victory over my situation. I overcome by the blood of Jesus and by the word of my testimony. Amen!
