In 2026, Respect Process and Do Not Rush Outcomes
Devotional Reading: “Better is the end of a thing than the beginning thereof.” Ecclesiastes 7:8 KJV
As you move into 2026, one wisdom many believers must relearn is this. God values process more than being fast. We live in a world that celebrates quick results, instant success, and overnight stories, but God is not impressed by arrival without preparation. When people rush, they often skip lessons that would have protected them later. Many breakdowns happen not because people lacked calling, but because they arrived at places they were not internally ready to handle.
Joseph’s journey is a clear picture of this truth. God showed him the destination early, but allowed the process to take time. The pit taught him humility. The prison taught him integrity and leadership under pressure. The palace tested whether power would change him. If Joseph had reached the palace too early, he might have ruled with pride instead of wisdom. Process may feel uncomfortable, but it is often God’s mercy at work, shaping you so that what He gives you will not destroy you.
So as you plan for 2026, resist the pressure to hurry life. Do not rush decisions, relationships, or transitions just because others seem ahead. Slow seasons are not wasted seasons. They are formative seasons. Wisdom is learning to grow where you are planted and to trust that God’s timing is deliberate. When you honor process, outcomes last longer and carry peace instead of regret.
Prayer and Confession
Lord, I trust Your timing and Your wisdom. I refuse impatience and unnecessary pressure. I grow steadily, mature fully, and walk confidently in every season You allow. Amen!
