What’s The Source of Your Vision
Key Text: “Commit your works to the Lord, and your thoughts will be established.” Proverbs 16:3 KJV
Many believers sincerely love God, yet unknowingly spend years pursuing a vision God never authored. We assume that because something looks good, sounds inspiring, or makes people clap for us, it must be God’s purpose. But heaven does not sponsor every good idea. Some visions are born from pressure, comparison, jealousy, or the fear of being left behind. That is why some believers are exhausted, frustrated, and confused, even though they are praying daily. They are asking God to fuel a car He never designed.
One uncomfortable truth we often ignore is that God is not obligated to empower what He did not initiate. You can fast, pray, sow seeds, and still feel stuck, simply because the vision did not come from God in the first place. The Holy Spirit is not a motivational speaker whose job is to encourage every ambition. He is a guide whose role is to lead us into God’s will. When the Spirit is quiet about your vision, it may not be opposition. It may be correction.
Alignment begins when you slow down enough to ask hard questions. Why do I want this? Is it God’s instruction or my desperation? Am I running because God said go, or because others are already running? The Spirit helps remove obstacles, but the first obstacle He removes is often the wrong vision itself. And yes, it hurts a little. But it saves you years of stress, prayer points, and unnecessary fasting.
Prayer and Confession
Father, I submit my desires, plans, and visions to You. Expose anything that did not come from You. I receive grace to let go of ideas that compete with Your purpose for my life. I declare that my thoughts are aligned with Your will, and my steps are ordered by Your Spirit. Amen.

Am I willing to let go if the Spirit redirects me?
