Kindness Is Never Wasted

Key Text: “The merciful man does good for his own soul, but he who is cruel troubles his own flesh.” Proverbs 11:17 (NKJV)

Kindness is one of the purest expressions of God’s nature. Every day we live under the evidence of His goodness, mercy, and patience. As God’s children, we are called to reflect that same kindness to the people around us. A kind word, a thoughtful gesture, or a helping hand may seem ordinary, but God often works through ordinary acts to produce extraordinary impact.

Kindness creates room for life to flourish. Many people carry burdens that are hidden behind smiles and daily routines. A simple act of kindness can become the encouragement that keeps someone moving forward. Just as a little water can revive a thirsty plant, a little kindness can refresh a weary soul. You may never fully know the difference your kindness makes.

The beautiful thing about kindness is that it blesses the giver too. Scripture says the merciful person does good to his own soul. Kindness keeps the heart soft, joyful, and aligned with God’s character. Sometimes the answer to someone’s prayer is not a miracle that looks spectacular, but a believer who chose to be kind when it mattered most.

Prayer and Confession
Father, thank You for Your kindness toward me. Help me to reflect Your goodness in my words, actions, and attitudes. Let kindness flow naturally from my heart and become a testimony of Your presence in my life. Open my eyes to opportunities to bless others today. I declare that I am a carrier of God’s goodness, mercy, and compassion wherever I go. Amen.
