YOUR IMAGINATION CAN BECOME A WORKSHOP
Key Text: “Never doubt God’s mighty power to work in you and accomplish all this. He will achieve infinitely more than your greatest request, your most unbelievable dream, and exceed your wildest imagination!” Ephesians 3:20TPT
God is not threatened by a healthy imagination. In fact, Scripture repeatedly shows us that God can work through what people are able to conceive in their hearts and minds. Imagination is not the same as fantasy. Fantasy can make you escape reality, but sanctified imagination can help you see possibilities before they become realities. Before a building exists, someone sees it in their mind; before a book is written, someone sees the message; before a ministry reaches people, someone first carries a picture of what it could become.
Think about the builders of the Tower of Babel. God said, “Nothing they propose to do will be withheld from them” (Genesis 11:6). Their project was wrong, but the principle reveals something about the power of unified human imagination and action. People who can clearly conceive something and organize their actions around it can accomplish remarkable things. Now imagine what happens when your imagination is surrendered to God’s Word, guided by wisdom and empowered by the Holy Spirit.
This is why you should be careful about what you constantly feed your mind. If you spend all day consuming fear, outrage, comparison and bad news, don’t be surprised when your imagination becomes a factory producing worst case scenarios. Your mind will reproduce what you continually expose it to. Fill it with Scripture, godly ideas, testimonies, learning and conversations that stretch your faith. You may not be able to control every thought that knocks on the door of your mind, but you can decide which ones get a chair and a cup of tea.
Prayer and Confession
Father, sanctify my imagination and teach me to use it in alignment with Your purposes. Help me to see possibilities that are consistent with Your Word and wisdom. I declare that my mind is fertile ground for godly ideas, creative solutions, wisdom and revelation. I receive grace to conceive what God wants me to build and courage to take the practical steps required to bring it into reality. Amen.
Reflection
What possibility has God placed in your heart that you have stopped imagining because your present circumstances made it look impossible?
