You Are God’s Righteousness

Devotional Reading: “For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.” 2Corinthians 5:21

By the sacrifice of God’s only begotten son; Jesus Christ, the veil of the temple was torn, thereby access to the throne of mercy became possible to everyone who will come unto Him. However, it’s so pathetic how religion is making attempt to sew it back and deny people the benefits of His presence.

The pericope of today’s text reveals the reconciliation work of Jesus between God and man and the state of the man in Christ. Unfortunately, an average believer do not see himself as God sees, you’ll hear words like, “we are all sinners”, “no one is righteous” etc. Such utterances reveals the ignorance state of the individual and worst of all, it has spiritual implications as it is confession against the truth. The life of such individual will be characterized with struggle from within and outside, trying to please God through works instead of believing and confessing the word and thereby living from the inside out.

Christ became sin so that you will be made the righteousness of God in Him, this he achieved the very moment you receive the life of God, you are not going to be righteous with time, and you are already. Understanding this makes living a righteous life through the knowledge of God and the power of Holy Spirit possible for you.

Prayer and Confession

I am what the word says I am,

I have what it says I have,

I have the gift of righteousness and 

I reign in life through Jesus Christ.
