We’re Better Together

Hebrews 10:25 KJV

Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.

A period as this due to the COVID-19 pandemic where in a bit to curb the spread of the virus the government has restricted public gatherings which includes Christian gatherings has confirmed and made a lot of Christians know that being a child of God and communing with Him is not a function of going to church gathering. Atleast a serous minded child of God has been communing with and enjoying fellowship with God on a daily basis wherever he finds himself.

But then, some have gotten it twisted thinking that of what use then is Christian gatherings when they can commune with God on their own, in the corner of their room with or without family members.

Our text today instructs us never to forsake the assembly of ourselves together as the manner of some is for some Christians for whatever reasons do neglect Christian gatherings-church meetings. The writer of Hebrew brings it to our understanding that our assembling together as believers is a great avenue for us to provoke one another unto love and good works. It is an avenue for us to see face to face and bring encouragement unto one another especially in this last days that the return of our dear Savior is fast approaching.

Dearly beloved, our corporate gathering as believers is of utmost significance in each of our lives. No believer is created to function or live in isolation. When we gather, it is always for the better. We are family, the love of Christ bonds us.

CONFESSION

I do not forsake the assembly of saints,
Our gathering is always for the better.
