1 John 2:27
But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.
Often, it is easy to feel encouraged and motivated at the start of a race, but it has been discovered that motivation aren’t just enough to keep one going. The initial enthusiasm wanes because of challenges that hits one.
The reason why this happens is because we have trust in our own ability to get things done rather than the Holy Spirit to get us going. Believers should understand always that we are blessed with a Divine guide; an helper, who is the Holy Spirit who leads our step for us to follow.
John wrote to the believers in his days that they have the Holy Spirit within who teaches them all things, and that He will help them discern truth from false at the time they are faced with a lot of heretical teachings; those who denied Jesus as the Messiah.
John stressed this wisdom to us also that we should turn to the Holy Spirit to be our constant guide, an help in distinguishing what is right and wrong, true and false in our daily lives. This is what the Holy does, He helps us stay in track.
CONFESSION
I have the anointing of the Holy Spirit,
And I know all things
I am discerning.
