God is Near You
Ephesians 2:13
“But now IN CHRIST JESUS ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ.”
A time we were once enemies of God, we were damned for destruction, eternally to be condemned. Men sought for several ways to get God’s approval, the Israelites had the blood of bulls and goats to get God’s approval; sacrifices and offerings were offered, yet God wasn’t pleased with none of this, ” In burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin thou hast had no pleasure.” (Hebrews 10: 6).
Man was at distant apart to God, but thanks be to God for Jesus, He came, died and rose and with his blood entered the Holiest of all, (Heb. 9). That all who will believe in him can now with confidence be near to God. (Hebrews 10:19&22) “Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus, Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water.”
So don’t ever think you are far from God or God is ever far from you, because of what you do or you don’t do. For it was not by your effort you wear drawn near initially, for it is IN CHRIST JESUS, you have been brought near by his blood.
