Love Fulfills The Law
Galatians 5:14
For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
______________________
The law has always pointed to Jesus Christ: “For Christ has already accomplished the purpose for which the law was given. As a result, all who believe in him are made right with God” (Romans 10:4, NLT).
The previous verse to our opening scripture tells us that as believers, we have been called unto liberty and we are not to use our liberty for an occasion unto the flesh. We might as well say we can go on and do whatever pleases us! But here is it, a believer now is bound by the law of the spirit of life in Christ Jesus, we do nothing by the dictate of the flesh but rather we walk in the spirit. The law of the spirit we now operate under as believers is summed up in one word, LOVE; thou shall love thy neighbour as thyself. That which we do as liberty in Christ, must be rooted in love and must no be to bring about the downfall of others.
So as Christians that we are, do we still have people we’ve decided not to relate with any longer as a result of the hurt we feel in our heart? Allow the love of God overcome that hurt today, for we only conquer evil with good.
Our love for God will cause us to see people as God sees them and love them as God does.
CONFESSION
I’ve got the life of God in me; Therefore, I walk in love. With God’s love in me, I endure all circumstances. Amen!
You are blessed!
