The Power of Believing

Devotional Reading: Therefore I tell you, all the things you pray and ask for—believe that you have received them, and you will have them. Mark 11:24 (HCSB)

In Mark 11:24, the statement of Jesus implied that doubt can hinder the manifestation of prayers. The devil will try to persuade you to doubt, which in turn will hinder you from receiving answers. However, the devil himself does not possess the ability to hinder your prayers, confessions, or receiving answers from God. Doubt is one of the viable tools in his hands. If he can get you to doubt, then he has succeeded in his goal.

Do you believe in your confessions of God’s word? Do you believe that your prayers are powerful and effective? Do you believe that God loves you and is always eager to help you as a loving Father? The Word of God is alive and effective, and we should never doubt it. God and His Word are inseparable. You can always trust God and His Word because He is trustworthy.

Faith, which enables you to believe without doubting, comes from feeding on God’s Word (Romans 10:17). If you consistently feed on the Word of God, you will not have problems exercising your faith. Faith will arise in you when you give good attention to God’s Word. People doubt much because they have a low level of Word intake.

When you feed on God’s Word, the target is your heart, not your head. So, keep feeding until your heart is affected and intoxicated by God’s Word. That is why you should never let a day go by without reading and meditating on God’s Word. It must be a continuous process, a daily event.

Prayer and Confession
I am a believer, not a doubter. God’s word in my heart and mouth is alive and effective. I stay committed to God’s word daily.
