God’s Plan Vs Human Alternative(s)
Devotional Reading: “And the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together, and made themselves aprons. Unto Adam also and to his wife did the Lord God make coats of skins, and clothed them.” Genesis 3:7 & 21
Over the years, across different generations, beginning from the Bible days, man is known to have ability to device solutions to issues of life, although that raises another vital issue, “how helpful has those solutions been, do they stand the test of time?”. Every standard product has a manufacturer guide and reading it has lots of benefits which includes; finding the right way of usage, it saves time and unnecessary stress, it helps limit legal liability, one can tell a lot about the company’s image etc
Genesis; the book of beginning shows us the account of man going contrary to the instruction of God and the consequences, – we all know. In the opening scripture, Adam and Eve sought for solution on their own after the fall, but we saw that all they could come up with was apron made of fig leaves. But God in His infinite love full of mercy came and cloth them with coats of skin. This implies that man fall short of intelligence and reasoning, when he seeks solutions from his own perspective rather than God’s.

The spirit of God is impressing it on you this day and saying, have you made any mistake and that makes you seek for solutions outside of God? The thing is one can’t go far with that, and in fact, one will be open to more legal liability (suffering from injury), which will eventually move one farther away from God. Also, you’ll end up wasting time and know less about God’s image of love. The Lord’s arm is widely open to you, come back home, He’ll not cast you away.
