Fight to Remember What God Said
Devotional Reading: “This charge I commit unto thee, son Timothy, according to the prophecies which went before on thee, that thou by them mightest war a good warfare.” 1 Timothy 1:18 KJV
Many believers forget that prophecies are not decorations or trophies to be admired. They are weapons. A prophecy is a divine picture painted ahead of you so that you never settle for the picture the devil is showing you now. God knows that life can shout louder than His promise, so He gives us something louder than life to hold on to. Sometimes the enemy does not fight you because of your past but because of your prophecy. Your future is too loud for him to ignore.
The first step in warring with prophecy is remembrance. The devil specialises in distractions because he wants you to forget what God said. When life is confusing, your memory becomes your weapon. Remind yourself of what God said, even if you have to paste it on your wall, your fridge, your mirror or your neighbour’s door if they will allow you. This is not emotional hype; it is how you fight spiritually. If you forget the prophecy, you disarm yourself.
Whenever situations become noisy, sit down and remind yourself of the exact words God spoke. Sometimes the battle is not about fighting demons but fighting forgetfulness. A believer that remembers consistently will stand consistently.
Prayer and Confession
Father, thank You for every word You have spoken over my life. I remember them with faith and gratitude. I stand on Your promises and I refuse to let go. My mind is strengthened and my spirit is sharp, in Jesus name.
