Guard Your Heart
Proverbs 4:23 NIV
Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.
The heart of man is the seat of his consciousness. You can also refer to it as your mind. This is where decisions are being made. It works so well with information in the form of thoughts. Every decision or actions of a man are actually a function of what his mind either in its conscious and subconscious state agrees with.
This is one major reason the word of God instructs us to guard our hearts so well above all things, for everything we do flows from there. This means that all of our actions are products of our mindset. Our minds gets access to information through the contents that we see, hear, feel and think.
Dearly beloved, as a believer walking in wisdom, it is wisdom for you to carefully discern what should and should not enter your heart.
For everything you do flows from your heart.
