All for the Gospel
2Corinthians 4:8 NLT
“We are pressed on every side by troubles, but we are not crushed. We are perplexed, but not driven to despair”.
Of a truth, there are challenges and trials we all go through as humans, whether or not as believers. It is important we know that God is never the cause of tragedies and never wills it for anyone; all good and perfect gifts is from him. However, God makes all we go through work out for our good.
Taking a closer look into the pericope of our anchor text, Apostle Paul wasn’t referring to challenges and tribulations we go through as a result of our choices in life, situations of the country or any other affliction that happens to us as it were for all men. He was particular here about the persecution that arose because of proclaiming the gospel.
Proclaiming the gospel of Christ is a necessity that’s being laid on all believers and whatever we face as a result of that shouldn’t stop us from obeying the great commission, knowing that the devil will try all he could to stop us. Having said that, we have our confidence in God that in all we go through, He’ll never forsake us and his strength will always be available for us.
CONFESSION
I am aware of the devil’s devices
I will preach the gospel at all times
The Lord will never leave me nor forsake me.
