God is For Me
Romans 8:31
“What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?”
Every game has its principles or rules guiding it. So also, life does; both in the spiritual and in the physical. As believers, we live by different set of rules as against that of the world. In such a time as this, to live the victorious life God intends for us, we need to live in the consciousness of the principles and realities revealed to us in the scripture. One of such is to know that the Lord is always in/for us.
The truth about our election and calling in Christ is established; also we are justified and glorified (verse 30). So, in whatever we go through in life, we should be confident in the Lord, he has said he will never leave us nor forsake us; therefore no one can successfully be against us.
We are to know this, not just as head knowledge, rather in our spirit because the moment we believe otherwise, we may begin to see God as the originator of evil and that will affect our trust and confidence in him; which will in turn affect the way we pray and rub us of many benefits one of which is inability to resist the devil.
CONFESSION
The Lord is ever present with me
He is my buckler and shield
I will never be put to shame.
