Mission Focused
Isaiah 52:7
“How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him that bringeth good tidings, that publisheth peace; that bringeth good tidings of good, that publisheth salvation; that saith unto Zion, Thy God reigneth!”
Many times in my discourse with other believers about the topic evangelism, I’ve heard so many sincere but uninformed statements like, “if only God will tell me to go on evangelism”,if only I have the resources to reach out” etc. These and many more of such excuses tell of their desire to see men reconciled to God. However, the devil takes advantage of their ignorance and stops them from fulfilling the great commission already handed to every believer.
Prophet Isaiah speaking prophetically says, the man who will preach the good news of Christ to others, how welcomed his arrival will be and how agreeable are the tidings he brings. This is simply because everyone long for peace which only could be found in the gospel of Christ.
Every child of God has been given the ministry of reconciliation and needs no further or “special” call before reaching out to the unsaved, we are saved so we could arise for the salvation of others. Henceforth, we should be deliberate about preaching the gospel to sinners in our neighborhood, workplace and everywhere we find ourselves. Every saved person is a missionary sent to the unsaved; mission field.
