Who is your Father?

By Roseline Shola

Devotional Reading: “He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.” 1John 3:8KJV

This generation has in numerous ways modified sin. We find our way in simplifying sensitive things through memes and comedy clips. Thus, misleading a whole lot of people and in a way, telling them that these things are okay.

I was in a conversation with someone a few days back about pre-marital sex “fornication” I was shocked at his theory. He said fornication is wrong in a context but a norm because everybody is doing it so, no one should really be blamed for practicing.

You cannot claim that you love God and find pleasure in the things that hurt him. Jesus says “be ye holy, as your father is holy”

A true child possesses the attribute of his father because it is a part of his DNA. You cannot continue to claim that God is your father in words and deny him in actions. Only a bastard would decide not to do the will of his father. Be intentional about being a son, allow the holy spirit to help you through it.

Prayer and Confession
I am a true child of my father (God). I honour him in words and even in actions. Amen
