Learning to cooperate with God

John 11:40 NIV

Then Jesus said, “Did I not tell you that if you believe, you will see the glory of God?”

A lot of times we wonder why we fail to experience the deliverance of God in certain areas of our lives, be it spiritually, financially or in other areas peculiar to each and everyone of us. One thing we might not have been giving credence in our day to day activities is that there are principles guiding life here on earth. One of those principles is that receiving whatsoever we desire from God will always be on the platform of our faith(I.e believing).

Reading the surrounding texts of our opening text today, Lazarus the brother of Mary and Martha has been dead for the past four days. On getting to the tomb, Jesus said “Did I not tell you that if you believe, you will see the glory of God?”

Jesus statement to them suggests that they didn’t believe Lazarus could come back to life again. Seeing the glory of God in that verse referred to them experiencing God’s power in raising Lazarus from the dead. Ultimately, Jesus raised Lazarus from the dead even though there was unbelief in the atmosphere.

Beloved, it took Jesus exercising his faith in the presence of the unbelief of every other person to raise Lazarus from the dead. Even though you might enjoy the luxury of riding on another person’s faith(e.g your pastor, spiritual parents, friends) to receive whatsoever you desire from God, the truth remains that you might not always have  them around. The will of God is that each and everyone of us will use our faith in appropriating his goodness here on earth. God will not do for you what he expected of you to do. How you cooperate with God in receiving your desires is by consistently believing until you have whatsoever you desired of him. There is no other way. Until you start learning to cooperate with Him, you might not experience the working of his power in your life even though the power is readily available for you.

CONFESSION

God is good to me,
I am giving to cooperating with Him in receiving my desires,
I am giving to believing until I have my desires, for that’s my way of cooperating with the father
