Victory over Sicknesses
But because of our sins he was wounded, beaten because of the evil we did. We are healed by the punishment he suffered, made whole by the blows he received.
God’s Word tells us that by the stripes of Jesus we are healed. When Jesus died and rose again, He defeated sin, death, and sickness in all its forms for all of eternity. It’s amazing that, through Him, we share in this victory! But what does victory over sickness mean for us while we still live in a fallen world?
Throughout the New Testament, we find examples of incredible healings performed by Jesus as well as by the Apostles acting in the power of His name. In reading these testimonies of healing, it is a pointer that we can be certain that it is the will of God to be health. We can be certain that Christ purchased our healing and gave us victory over the same in this earth realm.
Are we going to face difficulties and all kinds of diseases and sicknesses? Yes, because this is a fallen world, however one thing we can be sure of to know as believers in Christ is to bring into our consciousness daily, the victory Christ purchased for us already which is our healing.
God wants us well that is why he bore our sicknesses and diseases and by the Stripes of Christ we are healed. Walk in this reality!
