The Gift of Men 2

Devotional Reading: “Whoever loves discipline loves knowledge, but whoever hates correction is stupid.” Proverbs 12:1 NIV

The way we live our lives, our speech, dressing, even the way we perceive things are all as a result of what we are exposed to. Whatever one does or say is a product of an influence somewhere, whether or not we are conscious of it. The saying that, “I am a self-made person” is an illusion, there’s no self-made man anywhere. Man is a product of many things in which relationship is key. To succeed or fail, we need other men.

God, the creator of heaven and earth has everything in place for his creature, He has in plan the path we should follow, the associations we should keep. For everyone God brings our way, there is a reason for such meeting. Today’s opening scripture reveals to us that, anyone who loves discipline loves knowledge. That is to say, some persons are in our lives to instruct us and our reaction to such (the men and the discipline), determines how fast and far we would go in life. Have you identified such men?

As you go this day and beyond, make it a priority to keep godly friends who are also built up by the word of God, whom will always be there to give you instructions and corrections gleaned from God’s truth that will cause you to prosper. Whenever such instructions are giving, refusing is a proof that one is stupid.

Maximize the gift of men placed in your life.

Prayer and Confession

My eyes sees men placed as destiny helpers in my life, Men who will discipline and bring out God’s best in me, in Jesus name. Amen
