We Are Blessed
Devotional Reading: Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ: Ephesians 1:3KJV
The old testament is filled with shadows and myopic understanding of the nature and character of God. No wonder Paul said when Moses is read there is a Vail that covers their face (2Cor. 3:15). The Old testament folks couldn’t behold fully the reality of God. They worshipped God from afar.
Believers are blessed, we know full well the explanation of God in Christ Jesus. Jesus has revealed the Father to us and has revealed Him in us. We know He is light and their is no darkness in him (John 1:5). Hence, our approach to God is not based on our merit or on the blood of bulls and goats but on Jesus’ blood.
We are made free from the law of sin and death, now we have the Holy Spirit as the extension of the very nature of God. Now we are called sons and joint heirs together with Christ, we have a glorious inheritance. we are forgiven, loved, justified, sanctified, called Kings and priests.
These are our realities, Glory to God!
Prayer and Confession
Thank you God for the blood of Jesus. Thank you for the revelation of your Son. I affirm I am blessed eternally with all spiritual blessings. And I enjoy my rights and privileges in Christ. Amen!
