Dealing with Wrong Decisions

Devotional Reading: David was now in great danger because all his men were very bitter about losing their sons and daughters, and they began to talk of stoning him. But David found strength in the Lord his God. 1 Samuel 30:6 NLT

The best way to make right decisions is to depend on the Holy Spirit. Whenever you realize you’ve made a wrong decision, the first step is still to go back to God; salvation is in none other but God.

When David’s men threatened to stone him when they returned from war to find that their city had been raided and their families had been kidnapped, he encouraged himself in the Lord, called the priest and enquired of the Lord. He got an instruction that remedied the situation.

Even when David made a consciously wrong decision sleeping with Uriah’s wife and killing him in the process, he still depended on God who turned it around, making Solomon an ordained heir to his throne.

Trust God to turn all your past wrong decisions into testimonies that will bring glory to His name.

Prayer and Confession
Father, help me to acknowledge you in every of my ways before I take the wrong step.
