Living a Life of Bold Action
Devotional Reading: “But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me…” – Acts 1:8 (NKJV)
Living a life of bold action isn’t about waiting for angels to blow trumpets before you make a move—it’s about stepping out with the confidence that God is already with you. The power of God is not something we hang in our closets and only bring out when there is difficult issue. It’s meant for everyday use. Whether you’re in the office, your kitchen, or even stuck in traffic, you’re a mobile Jesus carrier. Acts 1:8 didn’t say “you shall receive goosebumps,” it said “you shall receive power.” That power isn’t for decoration—it’s for demonstration.
Remember David? That young shepherd boy with zero battlefield experience and no sword license? While the whole army of Israel was hiding behind rocks, David ran boldly toward Goliath with nothing but a sling, five smooth stones, and a truckload of faith. He wasn’t acting out of bravado—he was acting on the confidence that the Lord who delivered him from the lion and the bear would show up again (1 Samuel 17:37). One stone, one swing, one bold act—and Goliath’s career ended that day.
So, dear friend, stop playing spiritual hide and seek. You weren’t filled with the Holy Spirit to sit quietly like it’s a library of life. You were filled to move mountains, to lift others, and to shake up your world. Start a Bible study at work, share your story with that cousin who thinks you’re too “spiritual,” or pray for that aunty with chronic back pain. You don’t need to “feel” powerful—you already are. Just take the bold step. Heaven is waiting to back you up like divine bodyguards on standby.

I live boldly and take action in faith. I am a walking carrier of God’s power. Everywhere I go, I release healing, hope, and truth because I am empowered by the Holy Spirit, in Jesus name. Amen
