Favour with Men 3

Devotional Reading: “A man’s gift maketh room for him, and bringeth him before great men.” – Proverbs 18:16 (KJV)

One of the mysteries of God’s favour is that although He alone lifts, He often does it through men. The men you honour, serve, and relate with today can be the same men God will use to recommend or announce you tomorrow. This is not flattery, it is discernment. The favour of men is God placing your name or face in the hearts of people who can influence your journey.

Think about David. Long before he became king, his name was already being mentioned in circles of influence. One of Saul’s servants described David as “a mighty valiant man…and the Lord is with him” (1 Samuel 16:18). David never applied for the job in the palace. Favour spoke for him. Someone saw what he carried, remembered him, and presented him. That is the power of favour with men—it gives you visibility in rooms you never entered.

In today’s world, people call it “connection,” but in the kingdom, it is God-ordained visibility. It’s when someone decides to recommend your business, defend your name, or support your cause without you begging. And sometimes, you may never know who spoke on your behalf. But one thing is certain: it is still the Lord’s doing.

So ask yourself, are you positioned with the right posture for divine recommendations? Are you sowing kindness and honour into relationships that may one day speak for you? Ask God to align you with the men and women who carry your next level in their mouths.

Prayers and Confession
The Lord brings my name into the hearts of kings, influencers, and destiny helpers. I walk into open doors that no man can shut. I am connected, recommended, and announced by grace. Amen!
