Applying the Blood Through Faith

Devotional Reading: Romans 3:25 – “Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood…”

Many believers know about the blood of Jesus in theory, but few know how to apply it. The blood doesn’t work automatically; it works through faith. That means you must consciously believe and declare what the blood has accomplished for you. If you keep quiet, the devil keeps accusing. But when you apply faith, you silence him. Just like the Israelites had to apply the blood on their doorposts at Passover, you must apply it by faith to your heart and life.

Faith in the blood is not a spooky ritual. It is standing on the truth that Jesus’ blood is enough. You apply it when you resist guilt and declare forgiveness. You apply it when you speak boldly in prayer, knowing you have access to God. You apply it when you face fear and confess, “I am covered by the blood.” Faith gives voice to the blood’s power in your life.

A Believer who never speaks or declares the blood will struggle to experience its benefits. Think about it: soap can remove dirt, but unless you apply it, you’ll still be dirty. The blood is more powerful than soap, but it still needs application by faith. Silence lets condemnation win, but confession releases the blood’s victory into your daily life.

Applying the blood by faith means you stop relying on your feelings. You may not feel forgiven or protected, but faith in the blood overrides feelings. Feelings fluctuate, but the blood’s power is constant. Faith takes hold of it, applies it, and enjoys it.

Prayer and Confession
Lord, I put my faith in the blood of Jesus. I declare that by His blood, I am forgiven, cleansed, redeemed, and protected. I will not live by feelings but by the truth of His blood.
