If God Kept His Word Then, He Will Keep His Word Now

Devotional Reading: “For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us.” — 2 Corinthians 1:20 (KJV)

Christmas is God’s public record of faithfulness. Every prophecy fulfilled in Christ is evidence that God does not exaggerate, improvise, or abandon His word midway. From Isaiah to Micah to the birth in Bethlehem, nothing failed. This is important because God did not fulfill prophecy to impress humanity. He fulfilled it to establish trust. Christmas is God saying, “You can rely on Me.”

One truth believers often overlook is that fulfilled prophecy becomes a foundation for future faith. God did not keep His word just for people in Bible times. He did it so future generations could look back and believe forward. Every fulfilled promise in Scripture is proof that God can be trusted with promises that are still unfolding. Faith is not blind optimism. It is confidence built on God’s track record.

Christmas is a call to rest, not panic. If God could coordinate centuries, people, politics, and places to bring Christ into the world, then your life is not too complicated for Him. Your unanswered prayers are not forgotten files. They are scheduled appointments. The same God who was faithful then is faithful now and will remain faithful forever.

Prayer and Confession
Father, I thank You for Your faithfulness that never changes. I confess that every promise You have spoken over my life will come to pass in Your perfect time. My heart rests in Your integrity and my faith is strengthened by Your track record. Amen!
