Ambassadors for Christ

2Corinthians 5:20 (LB)

“We are Christ’s Ambassadors…”

God wanted himself multiplied on Earth and so He extended his very nature to the believer as His Spirit. Peter says we are partakers of the divine nature (2Pet.1:4) In other words, the believer becomes and extension of God on Earth.

God wants us to represent Him well on Earth, in every nation where we may find ourselves. The question of what would Christ do in this situation?, should ring in mind. God wants his glory manifested. Like Paul, we to should make manifest the savour of his knowledge in every place (2Cor.2:14)

God is not necessarily glorified much more in the things we acquire, but He is glorified much more in we preaching the gospel and getting men saved, He is also glorified when the power of God is diplayed in healing the sick and other miraculous signs and wonders. The Bible records that everytime these things (miracles, signs and wonders), the people glorify God.

Therefore, it must always come to our consciousness that we are Christ’s Ambassador. And we do things our heavenly Father would do.
