Don’t be Double Minded

Written by Tosin Lawal

James 1:6-8

But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. That person should not expect to receive anything from the Lord. Such a person is double-minded and unstable in all they do.

A man that will receive from the father in prayer is a man that refuses staggering in his mind as regards the generosity of God. Our text today reveals to us that doubt in our minds can make us not to receive our desires  in the place of prayer. If you doubt or waver in your mind as to whether you will receive or not, there is every tendency that you will not receive your desired manifestation.

But why should you not receive your desires when the Lord is ever generous? Are there certain things you’ve trusted for in the place of prayers and those desires seem not to be manifesting? God’s word is true. God’s words says in Titus 2:1 that God cannot lie. Jesus said in Mark 11:24 that whatsoever you ask for in prayers, believe that you have received them and it shall be yours.

Refuse to stagger in your mind, refuse any thought that says you may not have your desires. No matter what you see or feel, refuse to be double minded until you see the full manifestation of your desires. Are you believing for healing over a sickness, or you have a stubborn circumstance in your life?  There is no sickness or  circumstance that will not bow if you will stand your ground and maintain your confession that you have your desires.
Amen.

CONFESSION

I believe and receive my desires for God’s word is as true as Him.
