The Righteousness of God

Romans 1:16-17
For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.
The Bible teaches about two kinds of righteousness. One is of God, while the other is of man. The word of God made it clear to us in Isaiah 64:6 that the righteousness of man is like filthy rags. Yes, all our righteous acts and deeds are like filthy rags before God. This makes it seem as though nobody can please God or be righteous in the sight of God. But no, in Bible days, there were some men of old that were declared righteous; Men like Abel, Abraham, Noah, Enoch and so on. And infact, most of them( e.g Noah, Abraham,) would have been declared by men as sinful and corrupt people simply because of their conducts obvious to men.
From the beginning of time, everyone declared righteous has always been declared righteous by God. How? Each of them were declared righteous through their faith (believe) in God who justifies the ungodly. The word of God in Romans 4:5(NLT) affirmed it clearly that people are counted as righteous, not because of their work (good deeds or trying to keep the law), but because of their faith in God who forgives sinners.
Dearly beloved, the righteousness of God is only found in the gospel. This righteousness is of faith. Remember that salvation is the gift of God to mankind. You became a partaker through your faith(belief) in all that Jesus did through his death and resurrection. In this salvation is the righteousness of God found. It is a gift from God to you. God made it so, He loved and has ordained that those who would be called the just (the righteous, guiltless, blameless) shall come to be and live by their faith in Christ Jesus and all He has done for them. Receive this gift of righteousness, and walk daily in the consciousness of it for therein you are bringing much praise to God.
CONFESSION
I have the righteousness of the father, I have been made righteous, not because of my good deeds but because of my faith in Christ and all he has done for me.
