Alive in Christ
1Corinthians 15:22
” For as in Adam all die, even so IN CHRIST shall all be made alive.”
The transgression of Adam led to death of mankind in his pattern,” Nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over them that had not sinned after the similitude of Adam’s transgression, who is the figure of him that was to come.” (Romans 5: 14). Death here means, man had been separated from God, man was in a miserable state of eternal judgement, and he was to be forever damned.
But glory to God, Christ gave himself in exchange for man to be saved from wrath and eternal damnation. Christ died our death, he went to hell for the sake of us that we could be made alive in Him for has many that shall believe on that sacrifice. ” Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life. ” (John 5: 24)
The sacrifice of Christ is enough to last for eternity. Glory to God, in this we rejoice and boast in.
CONFESSION
Christ took my death
He went to hell for my sake.
Therefore I’ve been made alive in him, passed from death to life,
My eternity is sure.
